About Designer Metal

Designer Metal is based in Elmsett in Suffolk.  Started in the nineties, by Xavier Cooper, it originally offered bespoke iron work projects to private clients. Since then it has become one of the main providers of country iron work in the UK specialising in Estate Fencing & Iron Tree Guards.

Every year we install many miles of Iron Estate Fencing & associated gates all of which is manufactured by us in our workshops in Suffolk.


WE DO NOT ACT AS AGENTS FOR, OR IMPORT IRON WORK FROM ANYONE ELSE

We are very proud of our range of Tree Guards and have refined our manufacturing process to such a degree that we now go toe to toe on price with importers whilst still offering home grown quality.


Urban Iron work is still very much a part of our repertoire and every year we provide a variety of bespoke , made to measure railings and gate projects, mainly to private customs and smaller developers.


Whilst still utilizing some traditional methods combined with a thoroughly modern approach we aim to always offer a reassuringly approachable small company service and first class iron work at an affordable price.


Ever expanding, our staff are all highly capable, hardworking,  well-mannered individuals who take great pride in our work.
